The ride will be led by Sam Galvan who many of you have no doubt seen on the trails! Sam rides a Rocky Element 50 that somehow has survived his almost daily punishment for the past 3 years! Lutherville Bike Shop Weekly Road RideThe Monday Night Ride is open to anyone and everyone who wishes to ride. If you’re a newbie to the road, great the ride will be a challenging weekly workout. If you’re a grizzled road veteran training looking for a mellower road, awesome the ride is for you too! The ride pace will be 15-17mph. The Monday night ride will be a “No-drop, stop at the top” ride with several rally points along the course so that no one gets lost or feels like they’re participating in a race. Pace will vary from 15-17 MPH depending on conditions and the time of the year. As we spend more time on our bikes, we’ll get faster.
All riders must wear a helmet.
The ride will be lead by Bob Villanueva an avid cyclist and triathlete with multiple Ironman finishes to his credit. Bob’s all-time favorite rides are the Civil War Century in Thurmont, MD and the Six-Gap Century in Georgia. Bob can be seen riding his beloved Look 585 or, on occasion, his Cervelo P2C tri-bike.
Since spring has sprung, rides will start from the shop on Monday nights at 6:00 pm. After the ride, participants are encouraged to be social and head to Qdoba for some ride nourishment. Click the link below for the ride route. Questions about the ride? Please email Bob at
